Q. What is DDIC/ DDICA?

DDIC stands for Direct Debit Indemnity Claim and DDICA for Direct Debit Indemnity Claim Automation.

Q. Do we have to keep a hard copy of the DDI or will a scanned copy do?

A. The rules say “A copy” and so a scanned copy will be sufficient if you ever need to produce one for a paying bank.

Q. Where do I get a copy of latest  Scheme Guide and Rules?

This is located in the secure area of the Bacs website, you will need your password and login details to access it. Every organisation has a security contact who should have/ or be allocate the privileges to access the site.

Q. Is AUDDIS being made mandatory?

Not at the moment - it is something that gets discussed frequently and may happen in future however at the moment the manual scheme runs along side the AUDDIS scheme. It is mandatory however for any new Service Users that are submitting directly to Bacs.
